No GRAB (No Gardena Redevelopment Agency Boondoggle) is a committee of concerned Gardena residents who opposed the City of Gardena's formation of a Redevelopment Agency. No GRAB is not opposed to redevelopment but it should be done without the enormous powers a Redevelopment Agency would give the City. Now that Measure G has been defeated, No GRAB is expanding its mission. Visit our News page for more information.
Our MissionNo GRAB's original mission was to inform and educate the citizens of Gardena about redevelopment agencies and eminent domain, and to prevent the City of Gardena from establishing a redevelopment agency via Measure G on November 2nd's ballot. The citizens of Gardena heeded our message and voted against Measure G, 2 to 1. The No GRAB committee will be working with state representatives to reform California's redevelopment law and also to promote federal laws protecting private property rights.
